The Plan’s “Actions” will serve as a general framework for evaluating proposals. The Coalition is particularly interested in proposals that offer creative and innovative strategies for addressing the Funding Priorities. Proposals that represent collaborations and partnerships are encouraged. “Frequently Asked Questions” will provide additional information.

Any Clackamas County-based organization working in the fields of arts, heritage and/or humanities can apply. Individuals may also apply if they are based in Clackamas County. Tax-exempt status is not a prerequisite.

As part of this year’s grant process, the Clackamas County Tourism Development Council will also fund one or more project grants focused on developing heritage tourism attractions with or for young people in the K-12 age range. (Heritage tourism attractions are defined as sharing or interpreting a tradition/s of the people of Clackamas County, with attention to authentic, unique, entertaining and educational aspects for visitors from other areas.) Applicants are encouraged but not required to work in partnership with existing youth organizations, educational institutions and heritage organizations in Clackamas County.

  • Partnerships and collaborations will increase prospects of project funding
  • General operating and endowment support will not be considered
  • Applicant financial support and budget will be closely reviewed, with the expectation that all applicants will provide some matching funds and/or in-kind contributions toward their project’s success. • A brief post-project narrative and financial report, will be required of all grant recipients and may include press clippings, photos and other documentation
  • Submit application on 8-1/2x11 white, 3-hole-punched paper, printed both sides. Proposal narrative must not exceed two (2) double-sided pages, 12-point type, with 1” margins

The Grant Review Panel will assess all applications using the following criteria:

  • Does the project impact Challenges and/or forward Actions described in the Cultural Plan?
  • Does the project provide a creative or innovative approach to meeting the Funding Priorities?
