SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY GRANTS AWARDS HISTORY
The Special Opportunity Grants Award program became available in 2010. Through an allocation from the Oregon Cultural Trust, the Coalition is able to provide financial support to help fill the gap in needs for Arts, Heritage and Humanities in Clackamas County.
Since the inception of the Special Opportunity Grant Program in 2010 awards totaling $8,046 have been made to the following applicants:
In 2010:
Wilsonville High School's Soul'd Out A Cappella Choir $750
- Special Opportunity to participate in the National Competition in New York City - View Soul'd Out Video
Gladstone High School - $740.92
-Special Opportunity to introduce a Sustainability Curriculum including arts & heritage component to support LEED Certification
Willamette Shore Trolley - $600
-Unforeseen Need of Trolley Repair
Oregon City High School - $600
-Unforeseen Need to support creating annual Literary Magazine Publication
Horace Baker Cabin Historical Society - $750.00
-Unforeseen Need to fumigate Cabin to protect and preserve structure
Staged! Musical Theatre Series - $750
-Special Opportunity to bring Tony-Award Winning Composer Jason Robert Brown to perform a private concert event by Staged!
Giovani Castenada - $200
- Special Opportunity Grant - One of 65 Juniors entering their Senior year in the US to be selected for the Oregon Shakespeare Summer Seminar - Tuition Support

Kirk Mouser Enterprises - $750.00
- Unforeseen need - Youth Theatre Project in partnership with the Clackamas County Juvenile Department
